Therapy Bio
Amelia (affectionately known as Dr. K) is an author, international lecturer, licensed psychotherapist, ordained metaphysician, singer/songwriter - bridging spiritual and metaphysical principles with mental health attempting to uplift the self-esteem of humanity and unify mankind. Dr. K welcomes all paths as the author of the groundbreaking book: From Psychotherapy to Sacretherapy® (pronounced sacred-therapy with a silent "d") - a self-help book that is the 1st of its kind to offer alternative and holistic descriptions and healing processes for 170 mental and emotional diagnoses worldwide. With the success of her book, she also hosted: The From Psychotherapy to Sacretherapy® Radio Show on Unity, fm radio. Dr. K is also the CEO of the Sacretherapy® Institute - a not for profit organization that was created with the same name as her healing modality trademarked "Sacretherapy®".
The Sacretherapy® Institute is the creator of the UR2.Global Psycho-Spiritual Arts Project that incorporates Dr. K's gift of music along with other artists around the globe that volunteer to assist her with uplifting the self-esteem of mankind and promote unity. Dr. K states that "only when inner-peace is accomplished can world peace be achieved," The project currently has artists and liaisons on five continents.
Kemp has been a psychotherapist for nearly three decades with a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and a non-secular doctorate in Metaphysical Theology where she is versed in multiple religious paths and is ordained. She is also a Board Certified Alternative Holistic Practitioner with the American Alternative Medical Association and is a Certified Professional Life Coach with the Life Coach Institute.
Kemp was honored by Dr. Arun Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi's Grandson) for her original World Peace Constellation music video "call for peace and spiritual reconciliation" and honored in BE Magazine in their Profiles of Global Change-makers and as an Artist For Peace. She was a member of the Oprah Winfrey Belief Team and has lectured on national platforms with best selling authors such as Dr. C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., (Soul Medicine), Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul), Pam Grout (E-Squared), Howard Martin (HeartMath), and done workshops for numerous organizations. She is also a State Certified Clinical Supervisor for Mental Health Professionals seeking licensure and a mental health educator. She is a former Director of Mental Health Counseling within the School Board where President Clinton's Secretary of Labor visited her program giving it national acclaim. She is also a former Adjunct Psychology Instructor for two colleges. As a metaphysician, she is also a Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner.

Prior to her career in Mental Health, Dr. Kemp was a Director of Media Relations for an HBCU, non-profits, and was a media and community affairs specialist in association with the late renowned Ofield Dukes & Associates. She also worked for public television.
